God bless the auto-save
I had all but typed my last sentence of my last post and it was substantially long, when the power went out. I was ticked but logged back in and there it was...my post saved as a draft! Go Blogger, finally a good feature!
Hello and welcome to my blog. I originally started this blog during my master's program to have discussion about education. Since I am finished with my degree and work in higher education, I have changed my focus to give updates about my family, my thoughts, and my rants.

I normally don't remember any of my dreams or that I even had one during my sleep but this morning...craziness. Feel free to interpret this how you want.
Meow, MRWEOW, HISSSSSS, thwat, thwat, click click click click, sliding sound on wood floor and then it starts over again.
The vacation sure put a wrinkle in the diet and exercise routine. I have not wanted to get back on the horse (technically my bike) since we got home. I have been eating better during the day but we have eaten out a couple times since we got home (pizza and nachos). I ate in moderation but feel guilty. Maybe it is the drinks each night. There haven't been lots of them, just a few nights in a row.
I made the Dean's list as an instructor! That's right. Excellent student reviews and department chair review. Sweet! I was impressed when I looked at the list of recipients from our school and saw that there weren't too many of us in comparison to how many teachers teach.
Our trip to Colorado was fun. The whole Froyd Family was there so it was nice to see everyone in one shot. Summary of events:
1) God dang it was hot out there biking this morning.
Warning-for those that don't want to hear about tampons, read no further. For those that want a little chuckle to kick start their day, read on.
I can somehow manage to get up on Monday's and bike but most other days it is so much harder. Do you think it could be the excessive napping and relaxing I have been doing on Sundays that now allows me to fully recharge before getting up to bike?
I have been wanting to update my blog for a while but haven't really had the time. Today I was feeling a little spark so I updated the description. Then I was going to edit my profile and quickly realized I am not in the mood to write about myself today.
That's right, I got up and rode my stupid bike this morning. I always feel bad for being so grumbly when Mr. Chipper Will Power starts trying to motivate me but come on...who gets up at 5am every day to exerise and enjoys it?
I have had a horrendous week (not sure of the spelling on that). So tonight I let loose at bowling and did pretty darn good. Then I get a wild hair up my butt that says, "I deserve some fun, let's keep partying." Well, thanks to the Jess and Jer-Bear we went back to their house. It's now almost midnight and the bike ride starts at 5am. Nice.
Yesterday was a very long and tiresome day at work. We had another "issue" that put all hands on deck. I didn't get home until after 9pm. Yuck! Hopefully today goes much smoother.
The hubby beat me to it.
Good times at the Malecha/Higgins household tonight! They finished their remodeling and had an informal gathering to celebrate their 2 full years of improvements in their condo. I can only say "What a fantastic job!" Hat's off to them and their hard work.
That's right, I bowled last night, I biked this morning, and I am blogging. Seriously though, a friend said I need to update my blog. I think I might tackle that this weekend. I just need to find a new meaning for MATL...Mighty Awesome Tough Lady...Must Attend To List journey....
We got up this morning and went biking. Today, I cut it short. My feet, legs, and arms were tingly and numb. I felt like poo. Normally they don't start to fall asleep until the last mile or two but today they set in before the 3 mile mark. According to the multiple websites I checked out, it is due to an improper fit on my bike. Hmmm...I think I need to start with a handle bar adjustment and maybe some new shoes. Yes, shoes...supposedly too soft of a sole shoe (tennis shoes) put too much pressure on parts of the foot causing numbness. I have always had this problem so I think I might need to do a little searching for new riding shoes. Maybe with those few adjustments; I can safely increase my mileage and not think I am going to die halfway through the ride.
