Pics

Here's Ryan and I at the Venetian in Vegas.

Miller, Rylee, Shannon and I at Disney's Toy Story 3 on Ice. Pretty cute show. Makes me miss skating.

Not the best but a shot of the characters in the finale. I am going to have to google the cast to find out how they did some of the bigger characters. Slinky clearly had 2 people in him but I am not sure about Ham. I can't believe how well they skated with those costumes on. Disney knows how to do it up!

Vegas Recap

Las Vegas was a blur. Literally.

We started off our vacation with a nice rainstorm in Fl that had us delayed by almost 3 hours. Luckily our plane was also the connecting flight from Memphis so we didn't miss our connection. We made it to Vegas safely and eager to see the crew (Bahl's, Manacke's, Determan's, and Norman's). We dumped our bags and headed out for some food and drinks.

We ate at Sammy Haggar's Cabo Wabo Cantina or whatever it's called. I have to actually say this in the blogosphere; I had one of the best chicken dishes ever! I never order chicken in restaurants, much less a mexican restaurant. It was delicious. I could order it again. Yum.

After dinner we headed out down the strip for some sight seeing and of course drinks. There was a lot of alcohol consumed which contributed to the trip being a blur. Just assume there was always a drink in our hands or being consumed so I don't have to write about it. We rode the NY NY roller coaster that first night. It was fun. I have the bruises on my shins and shoulders to prove it. It was one of the longest coasters I have been on and the view of the city at night was really cool.

Almost every day we were awake rather early but laid in bed since we had no real commitments. Even with the laying around; we all managed to be up and downstairs by 10am most days. We usually met up for breakfast/lunch. Then either headed our own ways or stuck together for some sight seeing.

Friday was nice out. We checked out some hotels and did a ton of walking. We went down town Friday night to check out the lights and met Bill and Michele. Saturday we hit up the Blake Shelton concert (more on this in a bit). Sunday we went to the Beatles Love Cirque de Soleil. It was incredible. I would watch it again!

The Blake Shelton concert was fun. You know me, any concert with drinks = a good time. I think I apologized to the lady behind me a thousand times since I was standing up the entire concert. I am not really sure what songs I knew because I was too busy drinking to take note. Somewhere between pre-concert drinks and the end of the concert, MLB got a little sick. The boys brought him to the bathroom to puke and that's where my blurry night set in. I know we got a limo ride back to the hotel. I know I ate Subway before retiring for the night. I know I had fun. I wasn't sick the next day from drinking but I was off. In hindsight, I think it was the beginning of the evil flu setting in.

Sunday we kept it low key (my feet hurt-forgot tennies and had heels the whole time). It rained Saturday and was cold Sunday. We checked out some more hotels and then got ready for our fancy night out. The Beatles performance was fantastic. I think I sang and smiled the entire time. Then we had a nice last meal with everyone and called it a night. Our flight left at 6am so we were up a few hours after going to bed.

The flight home I felt off but assumed it was from little sleep and too much drinking the days before. By the time I got home, I realized I had the flu and a fever. I was off to bed early and 12 days later, flu and bronchitis, I am almost back to normal.

We took very few pictures and most didn't turn out. i am hoping Val or Nicole will send us their pics. I am sure there were more stories in there but between the drinks, the fun, the change of sleep, and being sick, it's all a blur.

Mason 6 Month Stats

Things have been a little crazy in the Froyd household and hopefully I will get a chance to blog about some of it. For now, you will just have to enjoy these messed up stats.

Mason weighed in at 22 lbs 6 oz (which I think is less than last month-I will have to recheck) and a half inch shorter than his last check up. Something tells me the whole draw a line on paper and measure it afterwards method isn't that accurate. I know he's been sick and not eating a lot but he certainly didn't shrink by half an inch. I know the nurse didn't really stretch him out.

He has a really bad rash under his 4th chin. Yes, I guess that's what happens when you drool a ton and have several chins for it to get stuck in and rub against. He also has an ear infection so he's on antibiotics for that. Not a bad run for this baby. By this time with Miller I think we were on round 3 or 4 of pink eye and had several colds under our belt.

He got his first tooth in about 2 weeks ago and the second one is popping through now.

This was a poorly written post but I need to back to work.

Busy Bee

I have had some items to post about but I am never have the camera near or pictures downloaded to go with them.

Sheryl, Ryan and the Girls were here last weekend. The kids played super well together. Lots of pool time. It was a pretty fun and relaxing weekend. Yes, having 4 extra people in the house (2 were only 6 years old) was relaxing. The girls kept Miller entertained and all were on their best behavior (Saturday). Even on Sunday when they were tired, they still were pretty darn well behaved.

Work has been busy. I have been in LA since Wednesday. Meetings, dinners, meetings, dinners, etc. Today is graduation. I am ready to go home. I miss the boys and my bed. I feel extra lonesome because Mason is really sick and I know Ryan would like some help. Too bad my flight doesn't leave until tomorrow morning. It is going to be a long day of flying. I think I leave LA before 9am and don't land in FL until after 7pm.

Our Vegas trip is right around the corner. I can't believe I need to turn around and hop back on a flight out this way so soon. I am excited and know the next 2 weeks of work are going to be tough to concentrate. I will be thinking about relaxing and no commitments. Do what I want, when I want.
