Annie Post Op Update (no pic)
I will spare you the post op picture until the sutures come out.
Annie had her surgery Wednesday. The doctor said it was a straight forward surgery, no complications or surprises. She came home a little nervous and slightly out of it. She was leaving her stitches alone so we have not put a cone on her yet.
She actually looked better than I anticipated. They shaved a little around the eye but with her coloring, it wasn't too noticeable. The stitches also blend in with her coloring so it's not so shocking. She had a little blood oozing (like tears) but they said that was normal post op.
Since she was already blind, she doesn't really notice a difference. We are the ones telling her to be careful so she doesn't hit her stitches on anything. Thursday she was close to normal and today, she's acting like her usual self. All on track.
Next week she goes for a check and then the following week the stitches come out. I will post a pick then if it's not too crazy. She seems happier but that might be me inflecting that upon her.
The boys weren't as freaked out as I anticipated. Miller had his own accident at school yesterday (got pushed on the playground. Busted lip, chin and upper lip area all scratched and scabbed over.) He said the other kid apologized today so that's a positive. He won't look at himself in the mirror but he isn't bothered by Annie...weirdo!

Crazy how time flies, seems like they were just kids chasing each other...the dog couple is getting old. Bear turned 11 and he's starting to have seizures and it takes him awhile to go up and down the stairs or lay down/get up. Hope Annie is doing better.
We were just talking about the old days with us taking them to the park and Bear swimming with you. Remember the track from running laps at your house? Give the Bear dog an extra hug from Annie and me.
Glad to hear Annie is recouping and sorry to hear about Miller - ouch!
Glad she's healing up. Now, we shall dub her "Cyclops!"
