Weekend Helper

Miller and I spent Saturday morning together. He helped me pick up around the house inbetween play adventures. I saw him run in the bedroom and he was awfully quiet. When I came in, he was wedged between the bathroom door and frame, reaching in to the toilet paper and ripping it out into the bedroom. I thought we had cured Jazzy of that habit but it looks like we have a new kid to teach a lesson or two about what toilet paper is used for. While I was snapping those pictures, Miller ran into the closet. As you can see, he was practicing being Big Bird in the nest of dirty clothes.

He did help fill another basket but then decided it was more fun to empty the basket rather than fill it. So, for being less than 2 years old, he's slowly learning how to help earn his keep and also how to frustrate mom. You can't help but laugh. He's so darn proud when he helps.

His other chores this weekend: putting empty water bottles in the recycle bin, emptying the dishwasher (that's a very slow and nerve wracking process but he's good at it), and supervising Ryan mowing the lawn.

Rylee played in the laundry basket this weekend too. She was fully entertained for like 30 minutes!
