New Kicks

Mason and I each got a new pair of tennis shoes this weekend. It's amazing how quickly his little feet grow (and how he can destroy a pair of shoes in no time at all). I am sure they felt good on his fat little Barney Rubble feet.

I bit the bullet and went to a running store to get new tennis shoes. The staff was very helpful and nice. I was excited to try them out this morning. I wasn't feeling too good so I only went 1.25 miles but they felt nice. I think I tied them a little too tight but no rubbing or anything out of place. I could really feel the "cushion" of them. Hopefully my knees and ankles like them and I can start running more frequently and further again.

Poor Mason threw up on himself last night and slept in puke. The kid never made a peep and we discovered it this morning. He tossed his cookies one more time before he ate. He took a quick bath this morning to get the chunks out of his hair. Something didn't agree with him. He didn't have a fever so we sent him to school. He was fine-ate his normal food and kept it all down.

On a happier note, we took the kids to Rainforest Cafe on Saturday night. Mason enjoyed looking at all of the animals but was scared of the elephants when they did the "show" part. It was too noisy and scared the heck out of him. Miller had fun too. He had been there as a little kid but didn't remember it. It was a late night for us, I don't think we even left until 6:45pm which is past Mason's bedtime. He had fun and stayed up the entire ride home.

We had some good parking karma. A car had pulled out and I thought I was going to get the spot but some other sneaky car was waiting in the wings. As we came back around, the front row car left. I nabbed it! For anyone who has tried to park at Sawgrass, they know the likelihood of parking within a quarter mile is considered good luck. This was awesome!

funny thing, super bowl night, Amy and I were awakened at 2AM to Nate's shreaks...we went in and there were chunks all over his bed. He has done it before and Kyle still does it from time to time. Kids digestive systems are crazy. If something doesn't agree with them..out it comes. Every time, both boys get it out, then a few dry heaves and by morning they are jumping around the house. I'm always worried it's flu, but they never have a temperature and are bouncing off the walls the next day...crazy

I remember waking up in puke as a kid and not remembering how that happened. Glad to hear it was nothing more.
