Hello and welcome to my blog. I originally started this blog during my master's program to have discussion about education. Since I am finished with my degree and work in higher education, I have changed my focus to give updates about my family, my thoughts, and my rants.
Today was the beginning of my "single mom" stretch. So far, so good. Miller appears to be feeling better. I, on the other hand, am feeling quite constricted in the chest and have a sore throat. I am hoping a good nights sleep will make a difference. Miller better take it easy on me tomorrow.

It is funny to be asked to write about myself. I would love to write something witty but nothing is coming to mind. I will update this area once I get in the flow of being a "blogger."

I spoke too soon. I went to bed at 9:30 and at 10:15 Miller decided to wake the neighborhood with the worst tantrum I have ever seen. It's been over 45 mniutes and I can't take it. I put him back in his crib and am hoping he quits soon. He didn't have a fever, no dirty diaper, he didn't want food or water, he didn't want to be held, he didn't want to be on his own, not even a search for Jazzy quit the tantrum. I video taped part of it to show Ryan. Then I thought about deleting it because it's so sad.
Goodness, I hope he settled back in and you both got a good night's sleep!
Ryan started having this same night
behavior occassionally about this age. There was nothing you could do about it except just sit with him and let him know you were there and eventually it stops.
He will grow out of it. I don't think it is a temper tantrum. The thing that finally seemed to calm Ryan the most was quiet music.
Coyote Mama
It lasted until 1:30am! I eventually got him to sit in his high chair and eat a few goldfish and drink some water. I think he had gas at one point but my goodness...my ears hurt from my cold but more so from him screaming in them.
I think he misses Ryan. He keeps pointing at his truck and asking "Dad?". How sad is that?
One cute note, I just asked him if he wanted a nap and he ran to his crib and pointed at it! Sweet. Time to shower and see if I can squeeze in a nap. I am exhausted and have a head cold.
Good luck with the single mom gig! I'm enjoying the alone time at night - reading and finally catching up on TV. :)
