Last Day of Kindergarten and Miller's Birthday
Miller turned 6 the day before the last day of school. I brought in popsicles and the kids loved them. Hard to believe he's already done with school!
This year Miller had what seemed like a month long celebration. We went to a friend's party and he received a gift because they would be gone during his party. Then it was all of the end of year parties at school and after care (really, what's the point to the last week of school? All the kids did was party!). We celebrated at home on his real birthday.
Then Grandma and Grandpa Sladky came to celebrate. We attended another birthday party where the kids couldn't make it so they sent home a gift. Then we had his party with friends at a local water park. It was awesome!
He had a Star Wars theme. The pics don't do it justice but Ryan made light sabers out of pool noodles and I made some death star popcorn balls. The gift bags had Star Wars themed print on them too. The park had multiple water slides that everyone (little kids, adults, and even grandparents) could go down. The weather held out long enough for us to eat lunch. Then a storm came and we had to leave. We told everyone to come back to our house to continue the festivities. We had to sing Happy Birthday and eat cake!
My mom and I didn't realize we bought the candles that don't go out (trick candles). Miller blew them out and then they kept relighting. It was fun watching the kids "use the force" to relight them.
To top off all of the great loot and parties, we had other friends stop over to deliver a present since they were out of town for the party. I think we are officially done celebrating. It should give us enough time to recuperate before it's Mason's turn.
Thank you to everyone that sent gifts or partied with us. The thank you's will get sent sometime in the near future.

It was a fun party! I can't believe the summer is almost over - the kids will be back in school soon!
