December 2013
All of a sudden the month of December has come and gone! What a whirlwind. Here's a quick recap.
- My birthday: the boys spoiled me with gifts, we had a great crab dinner, and they showered me with extra hugs and kisses.
- Annual Adult Christmas Dinner: we had a fantastic night out with our friends for our annual adult only Christmas dinner (Jess/Jerry, Jon/Shannon, Pete/Amy). All I can say is recovering from a late night gets harder each year. We need to start our celebrations at noon to be in bed at a decent hour.
- Emily's visit: Em and I had a couple days to shop, chit-chat, and hang out before the boys were out of school and my parents came. We took Miller to the science museum where he saw his first Imax film. He had a good time and so did we.
- Shrimp Boil: we had the Malecha's over to enjoy a shrimp boil with my sister and parents. The kids are finally at an age where we don't have to hover. Everyone had a good time and the food was yummy. (notice a theme here?!?)
- Christmas: we celebrated everything a day early since Em had to leave on Xmas Eve. The boys were fantastic on Monday. They opened a few gifts throughout the day, took turns, were nice, and for them, low key. Tuesday, they were a pain coming off of their Monday gift hangover. LOL!
Mason has been enjoying some one on one time with Ryan and I. I think he misses Miller at times. They facetimed the other night and were goofballs.
The next update will include a recap of Miller's trip and New Year's Eve/Day.
1 Comments:
Isn't it fun to see Miller's improvement in reading and writing? It's one of the reasons I loved teaching Kindergarten. It's a big growth year.
