Miller's Trip to G&G Sladky's

After Christmas, Miller packed his bags, yes, plural, to go to Grandma and Grandpa Sladky's for a few days by himself. They had an agenda packed full of things to do so the extra box of new toys barely saw daylight.

They went to the Children's Museum in Tampa. They all said it was cool. Ryan was texted a good picture of Miller at the top of a rock wall. Good thing we had a pic because every other time we have tried to get him to do it, he chickens out. He said it was cool because you could just jump down to the mats. It was about 6ft high.

There was movie watching each night with popcorn and rootbeer floats. That also meant staying up late and sleeping in. Lucky kid!

Quick reflection: Somewhere in the course of having kids, I forgot I used to get a snack before bed each night. Since we eat so late, Ryan and I have not done that with the kids (sometimes popcorn on movie night but not a snack every night). Hmm...

I believe the next day included a whole day at Busch Gardens (mainly because it was so busy). Miller rode some rides but spent most of his time in the tree house area in Sesame Street. He loves to run the ropes.

Miller was able to dictate what meals were cooked and from the sounds of it, he ate well. The report was he was an excellent boy and they can't wait to have him back. Both G&G and Miller said it should have been a longer stay. I played it cautious by it being two full days with 2 half days of driving.

Even the drive home was fun. I picked him up at the half way point. We ate at McDonald's on the high tops and he was a good rider the whole way back.

Now, if only we could get Mason to be a good rider and potty trained...Ryan and I might get a free weekend while the kids are at G&G's.
